The Bourbon

When we set out to create Stetson Bourbon, we agreed on a few non-negotiables. It had to be a bourbon with genuine depth and character, the kind of flavor profile that moves across the nose and palate with complexity and a balanced finish that invites another sip. It also needed to be versatile, a bourbon you could drink neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail without losing itself. That called for three things: a well-rounded and mature foundation, a higher-rye mash bill to bring spice and character, and a 100-proof pour that holds its own amidst the ingredients of your favorite cocktail. And above all, it had to be a bourbon worthy of the name Stetson, an expression of more than 160 years of commitment to quality, authenticity, and craft.

So began a three-year journey of exploration that brought us in contact with some of the finest barrels America has to offer. We traveled far and wide, and we ultimately found the perfect partner in the rolling hills of Kentucky, the birthplace of bourbon.

There we met master blender Dan Callaway, one of the most innovative and influential voices in bourbon today, who led us through a painstaking process of sourcing, blending, sampling, and sampling again. Ultimately, we arrived at the perfect blend, created exclusively for us and sourced from some of Kentucky’s oldest and boldest distillers.
